From Soft to Striking: A Vermont Wedding in Full Bloom
In early June of 2024, tucked into the rolling green hills of Vermont, the wedding celebration of C+C perfectly captured the magic of the season. Set at the Ekwanok Country Club, this wedding celebration evolved in color, style, and emotion—from a soft ceremony to a bold, joyful reception. We worked closely with planner Kelly Strong and the couple to curate a creative vision that embraced beautiful hues and a floral-forward approach.
The ceremony exuded soft romance, with a soft color palette composed of cream, blush, dusty rose, and greenery. Lush layers of seasonal blooms and foliage including flowering branches were the focal point of the ceremony, perfectly framing the couple as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
As the celebration transitioned into the reception, the floral palette came alive. We leaned into bold, joyful hues of coral, watermelon pink, and fuchsia, with layers of peonies and garden roses taking center stage. The entry to the double tent was a showstopper in itself—completely adorned in florals, spilling over with color and texture in a way that was both luxurious and wildly organic. It was the kind of moment that made guests pause, smile, and reach for their phones.
Inside, the stark white of the tent created the perfect canvas for the vibrant florals to shine. The crisp backdrop allowed every arrangement to pop, highlighting the rich textures and saturated tones of each bloom. Climbing vines of fresh greenery wrapped their way up the tent poles, softening the space and adding a natural, organic movement throughout. The effect was immersive—like stepping into a garden that had grown up just for this moment.
This wedding was a beautiful reminder of how florals can guide the mood of a celebration—starting with softness and sentiment, and building toward color, energy, and joy. With the Vermont landscape as our backdrop and the couple’s trust in the creative process, we were able to craft a celebration that felt both grounded in nature and elevated in design.
